We inherited a little property early in 2008 and was quite happy drawing in a bit of rent to top up our income, little did we know then that we were sat on a Gold-Mine. With property prices at the time going through the roof, we did worry how our Kids were ever going to be able to afford their own homes in the future.

I came across a link for a book called 'The 44 Most Closely Guarded Property Secrets' by Rob Moore and Mark Homer. I liked the look of the guys shirts and bought their book too!. This book laid it bare, the Guys made it sound simple, real and achievable. It opened our eyes to the fact that we really could, not only turn a couple of hundred pounds a month into a retirement fund, but more importantly for us, secure a solid financial future for both our young children.

I was buzzing and really wanted to ‘get on with it’. However, being realistic with time limitations, we didn’t want to ‘miss the boat’ and decided to look at a fully managed portfolio from Progressive

We wasted no more time and arranged to meet the authors Mark and Rob in Peterborough the following week What we saw put us at ease straight away, no big flashy offices and no smart arse property types! We were met initially by Marks Mum; their place had the ‘down to earth’ feel about it that us Yorkshire folks like!

They took us around the areas in Peterborough where they bought most of their properties, so we were fully aware of the types of properties we would be buying and we decided then we would go for it and purchase a Hands-Free managed portfolio in Peterborough, at the same time as learning the ropes for ourselves nearer to home

Our initial anxiety at paying relatively unknown people a large sum, [of our children’s inheritance!], soon disappeared when Simon called to say that he had negotiated a deal at 29.5% BMV, NMD and 10% yield, were we interested? – no brainer! The property purchase itself was not without its complications, but with Simons' vast knowledge and level head, he managed to negotiate and iron out all the kinks along the way and to reassure us all the way through. Hey Rob,

I met Rob at a Christopher Howard Training course, he was delightful, I didnt know about Progressive Property and he did not push his business in my face like so many others desperately do. I found out about it after by reading the very informative website. I liked what i read, it made sense to me, i had alot of equity in my property which up until then i was going to keep there whilst paying off my repayment mortgage (this is what i had been taught to do by my parents!)
