There are also a number of compelling investment reasons for buying property in the Peterborough area, one of which is the huge investment which is currently taking place. The city is to be regenerated starting in 2007, where £1 Billion will be invested.

This includes plans for the creation of 18,000 new jobs in the city along with a new city centre and shopping centre and 22,000 new jobs.

Peterborough is the cheapest place within 75 miles of London to buy property with gross yields of up to 7%. It is already a Major London Commuter zone and with house prices in London shooting up there is increased demand for homes in Peterborough.

Many people living in London are selling up and moving to Peterborough, where they can get an equivalent property at up to 50% less and enjoy a cheaper cost of living. The GNER high speed train Link to Kings Cross currently takes barely 50 minutes and will connect the city with Paris in the future with the advent of a new station and line upgrade.

There is a huge influx of migrants coming both to the UK and to Peterborough. Most cannot afford to buy property and most make great tenants. Increasing divorce rates and growing family units generic to the UK increase demand for rental properties.
