Job Purpose:  

The Social Media Manager’s job is to develop and lead Progressive’s social media strategy, enhancing brand visibility and customer engagement, building strong online communities to achieve high and consistent marketing targets

In providing engaging, strong and inspirational content, you will have a pro-active approach, creating an effective and interactive relationship between the company and its customers through social media networks, existing and new    

Reviewing analytical data and ensuring a continual improvement strategy is essential to drive the business forward and maximise revenue potential.

Key result areas 

  • Increase bookings & revenue via existing & new social media channels
  • Increase reach & engagement through social media interaction, across relevant platforms 
  • Increase in social media activity resulting in greater sized community 
  • Increase in positive feedback through social media publishing and responses 
  • Keep abreast of new social media platforms:  test and report results
  • Provide ongoing support to team on all social media related activities
  • Display the company values and culture at all times

The Role : 

Strategic

  • Grow the likes, followers, groups members, reach & revenue of existing & new social media platforms 
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media marketing strategy, to align with the marketing plan
  • Guide and deliver social media campaigns including but not limited to cross-platform social media advertising, social media trainings, organic content creation and engagement, influencer marketing and analytics reporting
  • Support SEO initiatives through optimization of social media strategies
  • Ensure timely, creative and meaningful content to increase the reach & engagement of customer through a variety of  social media platforms
  • Ensure content is relevant and written “in the right voice”, dependent on client group, message conveyed and type of social media platform 
  • Pro-actively research, test and analyse current trends/new advances in social media and technology, maintaining a leading competitive edge 
  • Grow the role into a digital marketing agency with the future proposition of taking external clients & running training programmes on social media 
  • Train internal teams on content creation best practice, to integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy
  • Measure social media, lead gen, customer comments and marketing results; effectively translate analytics into actionable insights to constantly drive success.
  • Instigate new competitions, giveaways, viral tactics 

Operational 

  • Build your personal brand on all social media platforms (engaging people, sparking debates, sharing content) 
  • Continuously test and optimise content and re-purpose assets; discuss/ share results with the wider team
  • Manage online reputation and customers enquiries, encourage conversations and debate. Engage in other groups that are active ; Interview successful community members 
  • Work with/alongside marketing and innovation to find new/interesting ways to grow our events, podcasts, book sales, reviews, competitions, giveaways etc 
  • Regularly monitor and benchmark against past performance and competitor activity
  • Represent the company at relevant events, liaising with partners where appropriate
  •  generate goodwill & leads for the various niches (e.g. podcasters) ; doing JVs with other group/community platform administrators/group owners 
  • Deliver weekly & monthly reports and analysis of Social campaigns ,within the KPI requirements
  • Manage external supply of social strategy for brand awareness, engagement and acquisition
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of competitors, ensuring good practice within our company 
  • Admin the various pages and communities effectively to grow them, across all brands
